Venus Campbell’s novel, To Desire the Stars, is a sci-fi and fantasy and romance categories of the Literary Global Book Awards of 2025. Evie Able has wracked up another award! Hiding Dragons has won the BookFest 2025 gold award for Multicultural Children’s books. This adds to her Golden Wizard Book Prize award winner, A Story. We are very proud of these acknowledgements!

Fall hails the writing season for our writers and this year we have been graced with another installment of the Princess Annals by Victor Pierce. As is to be expected, we are looking forward to a continuation of the story. For fans of Victor Pierce, we are re-releasing his short story in the world of the Princess Annals on his second book’s release day, March 3, 2026.

Blerdcon 2026 is fast approaching March 6th through 8th, 2026. We are excited to have a booth this year as in years past. It a great time and an inviting space. Come out. Enjoy a fun weekend of geeking out. Find more information here.

There are loads of additional events in the works. Queen Takes Book will be hosting a Local Author Fair March 26th at Cushwa & Rad Pies Taproom! Also, the Gaithersburg Book Festival (fingers crossed) is May 16th. In August, there’s the Martha’s Vinyard Black Authors book signing, and Park Books Community Space is hosting their annual Spark in the Park for local romance authors and readers. It’s a fun time. We understand wine may also be involved. Check back in for updated announcement of which events our authors will attend.
